PRODUCT INFORMATION
Developed by UK podiatrists
Improves knee alignment
Offloads medial (inner) knee
Relieves joint pain
Restores gait mechanics
Increases stability & mobility
Developed by clinical experts and based on UK university research, these Salford insoles are engineered to improve knee alignment and reduce strain associated with Genu Varum (bow legs).
A built-in 5° lateral wedge shifts pressure away from the medial (inner) knee, improving alignment and reducing pain.
Firm arch and heel support stabilise the foot and restore natural gait mechanics.
Designed to fit a wide range of footwear, they will work consistently and indefinitely, so you will never need to replace them.
Insoles that do not provide lateral support will be ineffective.
ABOUT GENU VARUM
Genu Varum, commonly known as bow legs, occurs when the knees angle outward during standing and walking.
This places excess stress on the inner (medial) knee joint and alters lower limb mechanics.
Over time this uneven joint loading can lead to knee pain, instability, and early joint degeneration.
Lateral wedge insoles are an effective intervention to improve knee alignment, reduce medial knee loading and improve lower limb biomechanics.
CLINICAL PEDIGREE
This is a registered medical device that has been supplied into the clinical podiatry profession for over fifteen years. It has only been available direct to the public since lockdown in 2020.
