About
Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is easily the most common and frustratingly painful of all the conditions of the lower limb but it is also the easiest to fix (if you know what you're doing). Spoiler: it does NOT involve cushioning.

What causes it?

Plantar Fasciitis is caused by overpronation (the flattening of the foot during gait). This causes excessive stretching of the Plantar Fascia, the thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes.

You might be thinking “why me?”
Plantar Fasciitis is very common, it isn’t just you. Our feet are not designed for walking on hard surfaces and most footwear lacks adequate support.
Why the Salford Insole?
Developed by clinical experts and based on UK academic research, the Salford Insole was designed (and tested) to conform to the precise structure of the foot. It provides unrivalled arch support making it the perfect intervention for Plantar Fasciitis.

A proven and permanent fix.

These insoles are from our clinical range which is in use throughout the UK podiatry profession and you can use them with confidence.

Soft insoles that do not provide arch support will be ineffective at treating Plantar Fasciitis.
Why not focus on cushioning?
Because adding cushioning only attempts to treat the symptoms and not the cause. Your heel has built-in cushioning in the form of fatty padding, which will be positioned correctly by these insoles.

These are absolutely the best insoles for Plantar Fasciitis. I've tried so many insoles over the last ten years and nothing has worked with any permanence. I'd also had no appreciation of the importance of wearing supportive insoles when on any hard surface, so thank you so much for the advice. Very, very happy and pain free!
