About Medial Knee Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) of the Knee occurs most commonly on the medial (inner) side of the knee joint and is due to general wear and tear of the cartilage lining of the joint, usually just over time.

Symptoms include pain and stiffness in the knee and everyday activities become difficult.
Climbing stairs is a particular problem and pain can be at its worst when later at rest and in the morning.
Insoles for Medial Knee Osteoarthritis
Although progression through the various stages of the disease can leave patients being eventually recommended for knee surgery/replacement, early/mid stage symptoms can be managed if recognised and treated.

Historical conservative treatment involves specialised knee braces and painkillers, but there is a specific “insoles” solution.
Why the Salford Insole?
The Salford Insole with Lateral Wedge Technology is designed to move the knees together enough to unload the medial side of the knee, dramatically reducing the damaging forces.

These insoles are from our clinical range which is in use throughout the UK podiatry profession and you can use them with confidence.
They will work consistently and indefinitely.
Insoles that do not provide lateral support will be ineffective.

The professionals' choice

So glad I gave them a go and wish I'd bought them sooner. I'm enjoying hiking again and definitely feel more stable.

These were recommended to me by an orthopadedic surgeon and I'm over the moon with them. I can't believe how an insole can help so much with osteoarthritis of the knee. Even the stairs are now less of a challenge!
