INSOLES FOR OVERPRONATION
Salfordinsole™ insoles for overpronation are used in UK podiatry practice to control excessive inward rolling, support the arch, and reduce strain through the feet and lower limbs.
Key Benefits
- Controls excessive inward rolling (overpronation)
- Supports the arch under load
- Reduces strain through the feet, ankles, and knees
- Relieves foot and lower-limb discomfort
- Improves stability during walking and daily activity
How The Insoles Work
They have a firm, precisely contoured arch and a deep heel cup that stabilise the foot and control excessive inward rolling (overpronation).
This improves alignment during weight-bearing and reduces load through the feet, ankles, and knees.
Soft, non-supportive insoles will be ineffective.

Understanding Overpronation
Overpronation occurs when the foot rolls inward excessively under load.
This alters normal foot mechanics and increases strain through the feet and lower limbs, contributing to conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, shin splints, and knee pain.
It may also lead to fatigue, reduced stability, and ongoing discomfort in the feet and lower limbs.
Firm arch-support insoles are a standard clinical intervention used to control overpronation, improve alignment, and reduce strain during weight-bearing activity.
