Developed by clinical experts and based on UK university research, Salford Insoles are an effective intervention for managing Peroneal Tendonitis.
They are designed to stabilise the rearfoot and limit excessive pronation - which places undue stress on the peroneal tendons along the outer ankle.
By supporting the heel and controlling foot motion, the insoles reduce tendon loading during gait and help restore normal biomechanics.
They fit perfectly into a wide range of footwear and will work consistently and indefinitely - meaning you will never need to replace them.
Soft or unsupportive insoles will not control the mechanical forces involved in peroneal overload.
ABOUT PERONEAL TENDONITIS
Peroneal Tendonitis is caused by irritation or overuse of the peroneal tendons on the outside of the ankle.
In cases of overpronation, the foot rolls inward excessively, destabilising the rearfoot and increasing lateral tendon strain.
Arch support insoles reduce this compensatory motion, providing mechanical stability and offloading the peroneals.
