INSOLES FOR POSTERIOR TIBIAL TENDONITIS
Key Benefits
Provides firm arch support
Controls overpronation
Reduces tendon strain
Relieves foot & ankle pain
Promotes natural foot biomechanics
Developed by UK podiatrists
These insoles for Posterior Tibial Tendonitis (PTT) are part of our clinical range and are widely used in UK podiatry clinics.
How They Work
The Salfordinsole has a firm, precisely contoured arch and a deep heel cup that stabilise the foot, support the medial arch, and control overpronation.
This reduces strain on the posterior tibial tendon, relieves pain, and helps restore natural foot biomechanics.
Fit & Durability
The insoles are individually sized and designed to fit a wide range of footwear.
They are machine washable and will work consistently and indefinitely, so you will never need to replace them.
Understanding Posterior Tibial Tendonitis
Posterior Tibial Tendonitis (PTT) occurs when the tendon that supports the inner arch becomes inflamed or overloaded.
Overpronation (when the foot rolls inward excessively) puts repeated strain on the tendon.
Typical symptoms include pain and swelling along the inside of the foot and ankle, tenderness when walking or running, and difficulty standing on tiptoe.
If untreated, the tendon can weaken, leading to arch collapse and reduced foot stability.
Firm, arch support insoles that control pronation are a standard clinical treatment to reduce strain on the tendon and support foot function.
Soft, non-supportive insoles will be ineffective.
