Developed by clinical experts and based on UK university research, these unique insoles were designed specifically to control supination.

They have a built-in 5° lateral wedge to support the lateral aspect of the foot, improving lateral ankle stability and preventing lateral ankle sprains.

Designed to fit a wide range of footwear, they will work consistently and indefinitely, so you will never need to replace them.

Insoles that do not provide lateral support will be ineffective in controlling supination.

ABOUT SUPINATION

Supination, also known as underpronation, causes the foot to roll outward, placing excessive stress on the outer edge of the foot and ankle.

Left uncorrected, this can lead to lateral ankle sprains, overuse injuries and inefficient gait, so an intervention is extremely beneficial.

Patients who usually take 1/2 size are advised to take the next size up
Your supination insoles should be worn whenever practical, particularly when active. They are designed to support your foot from the moment of heel strike and prevent that rolling-out sensation throughout the remainder of the gait cycle.

Remove any loose insoles or liners from the footwear.

Insert your new insoles – they are marked left and right on the underside.

Your insoles should have an immediate effect – no “wearing in” period is required.

They might feel unusual but not uncomfortable.

Important: You are advised to wear your insoles whenever practical, changing them between shoes as necessary.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Your Salford insoles can be machine washed quite safely at 30 – 40°C or simply wiped clean with a cloth and soapy water.

There is no need to tumble dry them.
