INSOLES FOR UNDERPRONATION
These Salfordinsole™ underpronation insoles are part of our clinical range, used throughout the UK podiatry profession to correct outward foot rolling and improve stability.
How the Insoles Work
The built-in 5° lateral wedge supports the outer edge of the foot and prevents excessive outward rolling (underpronation).
This improves ankle stability and shifts load away from the inner (medial) knee compartment, promoting natural lower-limb biomechanics.
Key Benefits
- 5° lateral wedge supports the outer foot
- Controls excessive underpronation (supination)
- Stabilises the lateral ankle and prevents sprains
- Reduces strain on the knees and hips
- Restores natural foot and lower-limb biomechanics
- Improves stability and mobility
Ideal For People With:
- Underpronation (foot rolling outward)
- Frequent ankle sprains or instability
- Outer foot pain or strain
- Inner knee pain from poor alignment
- Poor balance or inefficient gait
Fit & Practical Details
Individually sized to fit most footwear
- Machine washable
- Durable, long-lasting design
Understanding Underpronation
Underpronation (supination) occurs when the foot rolls outward, increasing stress on the outer foot and ankle.
This can reduce shock absorption, destabilise the ankle, increase sprain risk, and affect posture and gait.
Insoles with lateral wedge support prevent excessive outward rolling, stabilise the ankle, and restore natural lower-limb biomechanics.
Insoles without lateral support will be ineffective.
